Several times all of us went to Kananaskis, a recreational area south-west of the city for picnics along the Elbow river in the mountains.
Throwing stones in the river is a favorite pastime on outings like this. Here, everyone is looking for a stone to throw.
Mom and Dad live in a 'lake community' here in Calgary. One hot day this summer, we all got together for some sunshine and water fun at the lake.
Here's Ewa and Kornelia cooling off and having fun.
Ewa took Erik and Kornelia to Calaway park one afternoon this summer. It's Calgary's amusement park, and they always have a blast there.
Here Erik is concentrating hard on keeping his bike on the road. Kornelia is burning rubber.
Ewa also took the kids to Butterfield Acres - a small hobby farm not far from where we live. They had, in fact, been there this spring
and played with the baby goats and sheep. Well, the 'baby' goats and sheep weren't so small any more, so Erik felt more comfortable pretending to be
a farmer on this old John Deere.
Erik continuing to farm. Farming is hard work, you know - a farmer's work is never done.
We had Kornelia's birthday party in a crafting store this year. All the girls invited
got to make a craft, then we had a cake and presents. This way we don't have to worry about cake mashed
into our rug at home. :-)

My Mom and Dad, Brother and his wife and his daughter came over for a family get together
for Kornelia's birthday. Here's my Mom and Dad with Erik, Lexie, and Paul on our couch.
