Click the arrows in the picture to see more pictures. It's like a manual slide show. I'm going to keep adding pictures for a while.
Restauracja Zgoda. This is a restaurant Ewa and I used to eat a lot in when we lived in Warsaw back in 1995. Here Kornelia, Ewa, and Erik are taking a break from eating breakfast.

Here's the fam getting into a horse drawn buggy that we had give us a ride around the old parts of Warsaw. Dec 21. 2007
Erik and Kornelia in the buggy keeping warm (with a green blanket over their legs). Simone (the horse) is in the background.
Here's Kornelia and Erik after our buggy ride standing beside Simone the horse.
And another picture of the fam in one of the streets of Old Town Warsaw.
On Dec. 23 we had a belated birthday party for Ewa in Ewa's parent's flat in Glogowek. Ania (sister-in-law), Krzysztof (brother), Tata, Mama, Erik, Kornelia, Ewa, and Tomek (nephew) were present (and me of course).
Ewa in Ania's kitchen getting some coffee brewing (I think). There was a lot of cooking done in this place over the holidays.
Erik in some really tall grass we found while walking Ewa's brother's family's dog, Kaya.
Kornelia with a characteristic 'walking stick' (she always has to have one) on our walk with Kaya. The dog chased some deer out of the woods on the walk and it was entertaining to watch.
Relaxing in Babcia and Dziadzio's flat. Erik is writing his name while Dziadzio watches. Kornelia is looking at pictures.
Kornelia preparing ornaments for the tree. They decorate the tree on Dec. 24.
Ania in her kitchen getting the big Christmas meal ready. Fish is the traditional Polish dish at Christmas time - you can see some in the foreground in this picture.
Ania took this picture of us at an outdoor live nativity set near Opole. Ewa's father, Tomek, Ewa, Me, Kornelia, Ewa's Mom, Erik, and Krzysztof are looking at the camera.
Also taken at the nativity scene near Opole - the cousins Erik, Tomek, and Kornelia.
Ania in Ewa's Mom's kitchen making her famous Kluski - a cross between a dumpling and a noodle - they are round and you put gravy on them. Kornelia loves them!
A second Christmas feast - this one is on Christmas day now. Ewa, Ewa's Mom, Ewa's Dad, and her brother are here enjoying the delectables.
This was taken at the local live nativity scene in Glogowek (where Ewa's family lives). The Fraciscian monks put this one on in their monastery. Here they are dressed as wise men with the kids and their Uncle.
Sisters-in-law enjoying themselves at the monastery during the live nativity drama.
Ania and Ewa.
Kornelia and Erik standing at the main gate of the (now rundown and being restored) palace in Glogowek. Beethoven actually took up residence here for a while.
Erik and Kornelia in the park behind the palace in Glogowek. You can see some of the palace towers in behind the tree.
A neat picture I took of Ewa and Kornelia walking through one of two 'avenues of trees' that they have in Glogowek. We were taking Kaya (the dog) for a walk.
Erik and Kornelia decorating holiday gingerbread cookies while Dziadzio watches. This kept them quite busy and on a sugar high for the evening.
Erik loves vaccuming so when I pulled the vaccum out he had to take over. Babcia and Dziadzio thought this was the funniest thing. Here he is going hard at it.
Dec. 28. Erik and Kornelia in Gocholazy where Ewa was visiting an aunt in the hospital. We walked around town and did some exploring and decided it would be much more comfortable in the summer.
Erik and Kornelia by the river in Glocholazy. The hills in the background are actually in the Czech Republic - we were very close to the boarder here.
An image of one of the churches in Glogowek taken from the window in the flat we stayed in while we were there.
We took everyone to Wroclaw for a day away together. Here we all are standing in front of the city hall. It has an incredible facade.
Kornelia and Erik with that incredible facade in the background.
Kornelia standing in front of some pillar on the town square in Wroclaw. I liked the way the buildings looked in the background when I zoomed the shot with my camera.
Kornelia standing in front of some ornate doors to the University of Wroclaw. She seemed to be the only person that was willing to pose for me that day.
Ewa's parents dancing during their 50th wedding anniversary celebration that we all enjoyed on New Year's day. They danced inside our dancing circle.
Ewa's parents with me during their 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. It went for 6 hours and there was new food being put on the table at least every 45 minutes!
