DevOps & Deployment Engineering
Development Operations (or DevOps) has been a core business service of Netfocus for the last 8 years. We've used Ant, Nant, shell scripting, Puppet, Cruise Control, TeamCity, SVN, and a bunch of other tools to help software development teams become more effective. We've helped implemented Continuous Integration systems in both Java and .NET shops. We're also adept at configuring automated monitoring tools like Nagios to ensure that your team knows exactly what is happening with systems they are dependent on.
Release & Deployment automation and management goes hand in hand with DevOps, depending on the size of the organization. We've been involved in implementing deployments and large infrastructure changes of enterprise applications for critical business systems (think the electrical grid). We believe Change Management and CAB meetings are invaluable to the IT organization, and participate enthusiastically.
Software Development
Do you need a small software application to perform a specific piece of business functionality? Are you manually doing a repeatable series of tasks that could be automated with some code? We can implement it for you. We're experienced toolsmiths, familiar with a bunch of software languages and technologies. We're also experienced at implementing POCs (proof-of-concept) applications. Website Development & Support
Since 2008 we worked in association with BluBrown Communications on many website projects for businesses, municipalities, and associations around the province of Alberta. Most of our website work is done using a CMS (Content Management System). We specialize in implementing a java language based CMS called Infoglue.
